My Sickly Valentine

Oh, Valentine's Day, the holiday women love.
Me? Eh, it's ok.
I'm not saying that I don't like Valentine's Day, I just think it's slightly over-rated...please, spoil me year-round (which to Nate's credit, he does) and not just one day of the year. I'd much rather have spontaneous flowers and gifts on some regular ol' day than the predictable Valentine's Day. Also, can I just thank God that Nathan didn't propose on a major holiday, especially Valentine's Day? That would have been my worst nightmare.

So before I go in to some big diatribe how I think Valentine's Day is over-rated, I'll tell you how we spent ours.

Let's see...Nathan was sick and I took care of him.

That's true love my friends.

Poor thing, he never ever get sicks. Plus he had to go to work in the cold (he work's outside) and I don't think that made his situation any better. So we spent our night snuggled in bed with pizza and Ferris Bueller...and I'll admit it was pretty perfect, even if he did have the sniffles.

I think he thought I was disappointed because we didn't do anything special, but for me, staying home with him beats going out to some crowded restaurant to fight the masses any day.

...and his gift to me?? I'm now sick, which I find amusing since I haven't smooched him at all this week. Oh well, nothing like the gifts of germs :).

How was your Valentine's Day??

The plan on the day after Valentine's was dinner and a movie. What really happened was dinner and stupid hockey game. Don't get me wrong I love hockey but not on holidays anymore because I never get my hubby's attention. So we came home, he watched the game and I watched a movie in the other room. He claims the movie will happen this weekend...I beg to differ as there's another hockey game but we'll see!

Oh no, I hate y'all are both sick! Here's to getting better ASAP!

I told Nate the same thing - PLEASE don't propose on a typical holiday.. V-day, NYE, etc. I want it to be on a random day that I totally don't expect!
