One of the ways I'm going to hold myself accountable to using my gym membership and running this year is to blog about it. No better way than to write about it, right?
The first week of the new year went really well in the workout department and I actually found myself excited to go to the gym. Odd for a sloth like myself. Actually, I wouldn't classify myself as a sloth. It's not like I'm a flippin' couch potato who doesn't move except to eat, use the bathroom, and shower. I'm quite "active" but I've never been one to workout regularly.
Anyways, on to my progress. I went to the gym 5 times this week and ran 3 days. I took one "off" day and the other day I didn't gym it up I whooped up on my mama on the Wii playing Just Dance 3 (and boy will it make you sweat and look like a fool all at the same time).
Sadly all 3 running days were on the awful dreadmill. The weather did not cooperate with me whatsoever in that department this week. Unfortunately I'm going to have to get used to that since it's winter and all. I'm just a little anxious how my 5K is going to go - my times on a treadmill and outside are completely different. Hopefully I can get a little running action on outside in the next month.

There is such a difference between running outside and on the treadmill. When it starts raining every day, which should be soon, I'll have to start going to the gym! I'm alternating between running and doing yoga everyday with one rest day a week. It works for me!

Go Heather! :) I'll be honest ... I didn't workout sunday (only because I was in a lot of pain) or today. I have NO reason for today. I HAVE to workout tomorrow!!
Good for you girl! I used to work out religiously. Sometimes three times a day and then I just got too busy to spend that much time away from home. So proud of you for doing so great!
