It's been 3 weeks since I started my resolution to get up and start moving more started, and I'm proud to say I've been on a pretty consistent streak since.
Yes there are some days that I just don't go, but I don't berate myself when I get home. Take for instance last week, I went to the gym two days and ran one. Those three days were killer workout days for me. On Tuesday and Wednesday I worked myself out so hard I was sore til Sunday, I even ran through all that sore pain on Thursday and ran the longest I have in a long time! I'm proud of myself, even if I didn't go to the gym as much as I would've liked last week.
I'm still trying to find a workout "schedule" of sorts that works for me. I have figured out that doing weights before cardio is highly beneficial. After I do a sweaty cardio session the last thing I want to do is lift weights or do squats, so I get that all out of the way beforehand. I've also found that I feel better when I do around 40 - 45 minutes of cardio. 30 minutes just doesn't seem long enough for me.
Running is also going great. I'm starting to find the pleasure in just pounding away all your worries for the day. I'm also pushing myself to run a little harder, faster, and longer. I want a good time for this 5K in a week and a half!
All I can say is hallelujah for starting to find the joy in a sweaty workout session!

Good for you!
I've been running for about 3 months now and while I definitely don't "love" running, I DO love the way my legs feels & look since I've started.
Keep it up!!!!
